Topcat Weddings

The Topcats have averaged over 50 wedding receptions a year since the mid 90s. They know what it takes to make the reception the one you have always wanted. Their high energy and diverse song list will provide memorable moments that will last a lifetime. Interaction with the bridal party and guests are an integral part of a Topcats wedding, as well as working with the couple beforehand to ensure their personal requests are met.

Wedding Philosophy

Every wedding reception is unique. The band encourages the bride and groom to get as involved in the process as they want. The bride rules, and the Topcats Bridal Questionnaire makes it easy!
In 35 years of playing together, The Topcats have the ability to play many more songs than can ever be played in one reception. The bride and groom may choose as many songs as they wish from the vast play list.
Many receptions start with the band playing instrumental background music as guests come in. Usually no one dances until the bride and groom have their first dance. After the special dances, general dancing, cake cutting, bouquet and garter tossing, the band plays a final,all out party to the walls set, raising the energy in the room to a frenzy!
The band uses a high quality, portable sound system for weddings. The sound is concentrated around the dance floor. The Topcats are famous for the energy they bring and will rock the house without bringing it down!
The Topcats' smaller setup allows for quicker setup and tear down times, which caterers love, and the smaller equipment is unobtrusive as not to detract from an elegant setting. The Topcats have played at virtually every reception venue in the New Orleans area.
